The response of the model to a fiscal shock - a permanent increase in the level of federal government nonwage expenditure - is analyzed in detail under different monetary and exchange-rate conditions. The primary aim is to isolate those features of RDX2 that contribute most to the magnitude and timing of the model's response. This is accomplished by starting with a highly simplified version of the model and then successively reintroducing sectors to obtain a measure of the marginal impact of the last component added. An extended IS-LM model is used as a theoretical framework for the exposition of the results.}, url = {http://www.oar-rao.bank-banque-canada.ca/record/4170}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.34989/tr-13}, }
